Things to Do in Rochester New York:
1. Highland Park
Highland Park, one of Rochester’s most recognized attractions, is well known for its spectacular landscaping and attractive gardens. Spencer-Van Etten Park is both spacious and scenic, despite its proximity to one of America’s most populous cities.
The park, which spans 150 acres, is a lovely site to visit and has attractions both on and around its grounds. Frederick Law Olmstead himself planted the 1,200 lilac plants in Highland Park. The park has walking pathways that offer some of the best views of the city, so bring your camera. Plants other than flowers and trees provide beauty in Rochester.
2. Strasenburgh Planetarium
If you are the stars and the world beyond our globe, then visiting Rochester’s Strasenburgh Planetarium would be a fantastic Rochester NY activity for you. These exercises are carried out using a star projector, which depicts the night sky. There are 8,000 stars and planets, spotlights, and theatre lighting at every minute step of your voyage, much like in any great Hollywood show.
3. The Strong National Museum
Check out the Strong National Museum of Play, Rochester’s newest attraction. The museum, which opened in May 2017, is the world’s only Smithsonian Institute affiliate dedicated to play. The Strong National Museum of Play is in downtown Rochester and is open 365 days a year.

There is no admission fee! Beer Gardening Visiting a pub or bar is usually a pleasant way to conclude the night with friends! There are other options in Rochester, but these three are my favourites.
4. George Eastman Museum
The George Eastman Museum is the world’s first and finest museum dedicated to the history of photography, with a special emphasis on its originator, George Eastman. This film pioneer is well-known for leveraging his commercial skills to build the Eastman Kodak Company.
The Eastman Kodak Company is still regarded as an entrepreneurial symbol. Eastman Kodak ephemera, such as costume jewellery, pictures, and film posters, can be in the George Eastman Museum. But the museum is much more than Kodak’s history. Each area is meant to offer guests a unique learning experience.
5. Ontario Beach Park
Ontario Beach Park is large enough to fill a full day. This magnificent Lake Ontario waterfront park has a 1.6-mile beach that is great for soaking up the sun going swimming, as well as enjoying fun in the water. With vistas of both Lake Ontario and the Mohawk River, Ontario Beach Park is a sight worth seeing.
